About Berwick Pools

Berwick Pools is a local enquiry and quoting service for new concrete and fibreglass pools, plunge pools, pool renovations and equipment upgrades across Berwick, Cranbourne, Narre Warren, Hampton Park, Endeavour Hills and the wider City of Casey. The site is run by Yes Right Pty Ltd (ABN 91 664 546 061).

How it works.

You call or send the quote form with your suburb and the job you have in mind. We pass the job to a local pool business that can price it. That business quotes you directly and is responsible for its own registration, insurance and workmanship. We don't charge you for the enquiry. Businesses we refer work to may pay us a referral fee.

What to check before you sign.

• BPC registration. A new pool or major renovation needs a builder registered in the right class, usually Domestic Builder (Limited) - Swimming Pools and Spas. Check the number on the Building and Plumbing Commission (BPC, formerly the VBA) practitioner search before you pay a deposit.
• Domestic Building Insurance. It is required for any build over $16K and covers latent defects for 6 years and 2 months. Ask for the certificate for your address.
• A written, fixed-price quote. It should list engineering, excavation and spoil, equipment, the pool barrier and who handles the permit. On a contract of $20,000 or more, the deposit is capped at 5 per cent.
• Permits and certificates. Every pool over 300mm deep needs a building permit from a registered building surveyor. The fence must be certified to AS 1926 by an independent pool barrier inspector, and the pool registered with the City of Casey within 30 days of completion.
• Licensed trades. Pool electrical work needs a licensed electrician and a Victorian electrical compliance certificate. A gas heater needs a licensed gas-fitter and a gas compliance certificate.
